At first I was disappointed about the new G-001s not having the Temperature & Sunrise/set features like the original, but on second thought, this watch is all about style. It seems that Casio intended the DW-001 to eventually replace the DW-6100 and perhaps didn't realize that they had a real "Youth Culture" design thing going. I don't think that the whole Hiker/Camper functionality of the old DW-6100 is a logical choice to mate with such a style-conscious, youth culture design. So now the G-001 is probably what the DW-001 should have been. The functionality of the DW-6100 was great though and I'd surely like to see it make a comeback but in a different case design.dorkinaut23https://www.blogger.com/profile/08446763202535581335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463679325672599668.post-10362891574045641482011-09-21T22:57:35.513+02:002011-09-21T22:57:35.513+02:00Hi Sjors,

I believe in form that follows function, like in the Bauhaus days, meaning the design has to be true to the things that this watch can "do". Your photography is making it hard to resist from buying one :), I'm lucky to have an original 1994 black&red one. As always, your blog is a joy to visit, thanks.Galpohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05062564990839291511noreply@blogger.com
